Pregnancy Loss

End-of-Life Support

Bedside Support & Caregiver Respite

  • Companionship/Non-medical bedside support for the dying and respite for their loved ones

  • Assistance with set up of space so the dying persons surroundings represent their wishes and provide a calm, comforting environment

Logistical Support at End-of-Life and Initial Period of Mourning

  • Discuss with the dying and/or their loved ones various memorial and disposition options and provide referrals as requested

  • Provide family and caregivers with guidance on necessary paperwork and next steps post death

  • Support those completing the task of cleaning out the home of their loved one and provide referrals as requested

We aim to make our services accessible and offer a sliding scale of $25-$50 an hour for bedside support and caregiver respite. All other end-of-life support services are free of charge/donation based.

Grief Support

  • Peer grief support for various types of loss and life transition, including pregnancy loss, pet loss, a loss of income or stability from a job change, relationship changes, and more.

  • Support and education around the grief that comes with activism work.

  • Speciality in disenfranchised grief, or grief that is not widely accepted or supported by society.

Grief support is offered virtually and in person, often through group retreats or monthly Zoom support circles. Grief support is free of charge although donations are always accepted and appreciated. Please contact us with your personal, group, or organizational needs.

Outdoor Walk & Talk Session

As of Spring 2023, Mourning Feather Doulas is offering outdoor walk & talk sessions geared toward meeting in nature and sharing concerns, fears, or feelings around end-of-life, grief, and caregiving.

These 50-minute sessions will occur at an accessible public park or nature trail in the Piedmont Triad. Conversations will remain confidential. Please note that these are not therapy sessions. We are holding this space as peer support, not therapists.

One-on-One Walk & Talk Session

  • A 1:1 conversation with Molly that focuses on your end-of-life, caregiver, or grief questions, concerns, or thoughts

  • These can be walking sessions or sitting sessions

Group Walks/Hikes/Outdoor Gatherings
