Mourning Feather Doulas

Welcome. We’re glad you found us, and we’re honored you’re here.

Mourning Feather Doulas provides compassionate support through life’s most tender transitions. We offer grief care through our programming of hikes and gatherings, grief education, and community support.

Operating in a not-for-profit format (donation based, pay-it-forward system), our work blends peer support, advocacy, and healing spaces to help you navigate loss and find connection.

We’re Molly & Melissa, co-owners of Mourning Feather Doulas.

Friends for over 10 years, our friendship originated from experiencing similar life transitions and we found comfort in walking the path together. While many of our personality traits are different, we are both helpers at our core.

Like many, 2020 encouraged us to reevaluate our lives and where we were putting our energy. With the constant reminder of death all around us, and experiencing our own losses, we realized there was a need to address the way our culture processes death and supports the grieving.

Reflecting on our own experiences we realized there was a need for more transparency about the process of dying and death and more allowances for grieving in our society. We hope that we will be able to provide insight, comfort and care to those in need through workshops, education, support circles, and physical services.

We’re here to hold space for you, if and when you need it.
